Kat Von D Edge of Reality Fully Recyclable Eyeshadow Palette Review

by daisyjunkee

I like to put a mirror in my palette. I often use them instead of makeup mirrors, but I certainly don’t need to use them in all palettes. They bring a certain luxurious feel to the palette, but they are not absolutely necessary.

Although this kind of packaging is all cardboard and has no metal hinges or pans, it still looks and feels very luxurious. The white raised prints on the front of the palette, gold trim and details, and large pans—all feel well made.

These colors are beautiful. The formula is great, and their swatches are very good. The matte doesn’t feel as silky and soft as usual, but they still perform well. I was very surprised because with the cheap feel packaging, I am sure that the quality of the shadow will also decrease. Fortunately, this did not happen.

They are easy to mix and provide softer colors. The only problem is that if you want to do something more smoky or clear, there is not enough matte to deepen the appearance of the eyes. Shimmer shades have a blended texture between powder and cream-they are very similar to powder gel formulations, they can be used dry for more subtle color washes, or wet for higher returns and strength.

In terms of staying power, I used a primer (Urban Decay Primer Potion) for abrasion test, and there is no problem with the shade that lasts 10 hours a day.

Have you tried it?
